If the customer has fully comprehensive insurance (which the majority of people in the UK do) - in most cases windscreen repair is FREE and won’t affect their no-claims bonus or premium.
If the screen can not be repaired and has to be replaced or if it’s the side or rear window that is smashed and has to be replaced then normally the customer will just have to pay their insurance excess.
